This fun picture is actually very old. It comes from 1873! The image later appeared in a 1903 advertisement for hot cocoa. In the story from the ad, Goldilocks returns to the Three Bears to make things right after eating their porridge. To apologize, she brings a can of breakfast cocoa and shows the bears how to make a warm, delicious drink.
Before long, the bears forget all about the missing porridge and happily sip their cocoa together.
Isn’t it fun to see how fairy-tale characters were used in old advertisements? History can be pretty sweet…especially when there’s hot cocoa involved!
